Business Connection Luncheon: Dan O'Shea
Business Connection Luncheon: Dan O'Shea Commander Dan O’Shea is a retired Navy SEAL and combat veteran with over 30 years of special operations experience, including multiple deployments across the Middle East and Africa. A subject matter expert in Counter-Insurgency, Counter-Terrorism, and Hostage Rescue, he is a veteran of Operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. While serving as Coordinator of the Hostage Working Group at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, O’Shea led interagency efforts during the peak of the Al Qaeda–driven hostage crisis, managing over 400 kidnapping cases and helping reduce foreign kidnappings to single digits. He later served as a COIN Advisor to the Commander of NATO and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan and previously commanded at SEAL Team THREE. O’Shea is a lecturer at the Joint Special Operations University, a frequent military analyst for major news networks, and a producer and featured expert on Discovery, NatGeo, and Netflix documentaries. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of San Diego, and co-founder of the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim, which has raised over $14 million for wounded SEALs and Gold Star families.
